More than 400,000 people are expected to attend Pattaya’s musical event of the year, the 2013 Pattaya International Music Festival as it returns to the beach city over the weekend of March 22 to 24.
The Pattaya International Music Festival is an anniversary festival of Pattaya City. There are Thai and international bands invited, and currently there are 5 stages set up and the main stage is at Bali Hai area. Visitors can enjoy this festival from about 18.00 to 01.00. Vehicles are not allowed to enter Pattaya Beach Road, to make room for plenty of street stalls from North Pattaya to the Bali Hai Pier.
Although the line-up of performers has still to be announced the event will be one of the biggest international beach music festivals in Asia.
It brings together many famous Asian and Thai artists from various music genres, including pop, rock, hip-hop and R’n’B. When the program details are released, check www.pattayamusicfest.com.
The Pattaya International Music Festival is presented through the cooperation of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Chonburi, and Pattaya City, so that tourism in Chonburi and Pattaya will become more popular during the festival and in the future. This festival was first officially introduced in 2002.
Those who would like to stay a night during this festival should book a room in advance. This is because there are tons of visitors who come to the city, and many of them want accommodation. It is pretty difficult to find an available room on the festival days, although visitors could find an available room in Pattaya easily on many other days.
